Frequently Asked Questions
When you sweat in shared spaces, your feet are in constant contact with high traffic surfaces like Pilates reformers, yoga mats, and studio floors. The buildup of sweat, grime, and bacteria creates foot odors and degrades the integrity of your socks.
Antimicrobial grip socks inhibit the growth of these pesky microbes, protecting your socks and keeping them safe from unwanted smells, no matter how much you sweat.
Silver is an antimicrobial powerhouse that we incorporate into all of our grip sock fabrications to keep you fresh - from your first step to the final rep.
Silver ions are positively charged. They attract and disrupt negatively charged microbes, inhibiting their ability to grow and multiply on the fabric. This neutralizes the impact of these unwanted guests and protects the integrity of your socks.
Yes. While the fabric's antimicrobial properties neutralize odor-causing bacteria, the socks themselves can still collect physical dirt and grime on the surface. Washing your socks regularly helps remove dust, sweat, and anything else that might build up on your grips and reduce their stickiness.
Our silver-ion technology is engineered for permanent efficacy. Because the ions are molecularly integrated within the fibers, the textile retains its antimicrobial properties even after repeated washing.
For workouts like Pilates which may require extra stability, prioritize a snug fit. If the grip sock is too loose, your foot will slide inside the sock, which can cause slippage and potential injury. A closer fit ensures the grip stays aligned with your foot, preventing bunching or slipping during your movement. If you are between sizes or on the cusp, we always recommend sizing down.
